Providing evidence

Our team works with disabled students to identify and implement appropriate support and reasonable adjustments.  A disability within UK Equality Law is defined as anyone with a condition that:

  • has a substantial adverse effect on normal day-to-day activity and
  • it is long-term (i.e., likely to last 12 months or more)

Therefore, to access University disability support and also Disabled Students' Allowance, you need to provide written evidence that your physical, mental or sensory impairment meets the Equality Act 2010 definition of a disability
