About this Event

The University of Liverpool’s Faculty of Science and Engineering is committed to making a difference to people’s lives in Liverpool City Region and beyond through its world-class research, innovation and facilities.

This Liverpool Responds event brought together Faculty colleagues from different disciplines to explain how a range of programmes and partnerships are:

  • Boosting regional skills and innovation
  • Mobilising support for the emerging phases of COVID-19 and in the longer term contributing to the recovery
  • Engaging communities and influencing public policy.

This event celebrated the launch of the Faculty of Science & Engineering Civic Engagement Report.

Chaired by Professor Ronan McGrath who led on the report, the panel includes Alex Singleton (Professor of Geographic Information Science), Dr Raechelle D'Sa (Senior Lecturer in Antimicrobial Biomaterials), Professor Matt Reed (Strategy Director, Materials Innovation Factory) and Iwan Williams (Employability Business Partner, Faculty of Science and Engineering).

Liverpool Responds is the University of Liverpool’s fortnightly online event series considering different aspects of the pandemic, its response and the sectors affected by it.
