The UK Pharmacogenetics & Stratified Medicine (UKPGx) Network Annual Open Meeting
Registration is now open for the 7th Annual Open Meeting of The UK Pharmacogenetics & Stratified Medicine (UKPGx).
The meeting, which takes place at the Royal College of Physicians, London, has been scheduled for 10 March, 2020.
The meeting will be chaired by Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed, NHS Chair of Pharmacogenetics at the University of Liverpool, who founded the Network in 2010.
Currently, UKPGx has over 1100 individual members drawn from academia, medicine, industry, regulatory authorities and patient groups across the UK, and aims to accelerate delivery of precision medicine to patients.
As part of the meeting Sir John Bell and Dame Sue Hill will be providing keynote addresses and Charles Swanton will be highlighting how precision medicine in cancer is moving forward.
Other highlights of the meeting include:
• Sessions on the latest advances in gene based therapies and rare diseases
• Early career researchers presenting their cutting edge work
• Patients providing insight of their experiences of genomic medicine
The event attracts more than 250 delegates, including leading representatives from academia, healthcare and industry sectors, regulators, and patients, and provides attendees with opportunities to forge multidisciplinary network partnerships.
