Summer vacation 2024/25
The UHF will be open from: Monday 9 June – Friday 18 July (applications for 2024/25 will not be accepted after this date)
Eligibility - UK students
It is expected that most students will be working during the summer vacation to cover their living costs and will therefore not be eligible to apply to the UHF.
You may be eligible to apply to the UHF if you are assessed as independent by Student Finance and where the following apply:
You are unable to work because of:
- Illness,
- Disability,
- Caring responsibilities
And:
- You cannot return to your home address,
- Are paying rent.
- You do not have any other income during the summer.
In cases where you are unable to work due to illness/disability or caring (you will be required to provide evidence; this will normally be a fit note or GP letter stating that you are unable to work).
Where you do not meet the above criteria, other one-off exceptional circumstances may be considered.
To apply to the fund, please email money@liverpool.ac.uk. If you meet the criteria, MAG will send you a link for the application form.
Eligibility - Overseas students
It is expected that most overseas students will be working during the summer vacation to cover their living costs or will be funded from another source and will therefore not be eligible to apply to the UHF.
Applications can be accepted from overseas students in cases where you have a one-off financial emergency that could not have been foreseen.
Overseas students wanting to apply to the fund, should contact International Advice and Guidance to discuss their financial situation: IAGteam@liverpool.ac.uk .
The fund will not be available to Undergraduate students who are completing their course at the end of academic year 2024/25.
