    Biography

    Personal Statement

I am a Lecturer and Research Tutor on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at the University of Liverpool, deputy lead of the Mental Health in Context research group (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/psychology-health-and-society/research/mental-health-in-context/) which investigates how mental health is affected by dynamic interactions between people, places & spaces, and the PGR staff lead for clinical psychological sciences.

My research interests have involved the development and understanding of competency frameworks of clinical and behavioural interventions as methods to enable successful implementation and transition of research to clinical practice. I am also interested in the reduction and prevention of mental distress, particularly depression and suicidality, and the utilisation of mindfulness-based interventions within this context. My work is underpinned by models of co-production with Experts by Experience and a human rights based approach.
