The University of Liverpool has a long history in the field of psychiatry.  The Division of Psychiatry provides a focal point for psychiatrists working within the Department of Psychological Sciences supporting the Mental Health in Context, Psychology of Health Care and the Addiction research groups as well as the mother infant interaction cross cutting theme. Our Psychiatrists have diverse research interests, in different areas of psychiatry and who collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines.

The group teaches undergraduates and postgraduates, hosts an MSc in Medical Services (Mental Health) and delivers the MRCP Examination course.
