Public Involvement and Engagement Committee

The IPHS Public involvement and engagement committee was established in 2019.

The IPHS Public involvement and engagement committee aims to promote and coordinate public involvement, and community and civic engagement in the Institute’s research on behalf of the Institute’s Senior Management Team. This includes:

  • Facilitating the sharing of best practice by IPHS researchers
  • Promoting awareness of methodological expertise across the Institute, Faculty, University and externally
  • Identifying ways to increase, recognise and reward public, community and civic engagement of IPHS researchers
  • Developing plans to raise awareness of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) or Public Engagement (PE) activities
  • Co-ordinating working with external partners across research groups and departments
  • Identify university processes for public involvement and engagement
