About
Chi Wan Cheang is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Liverpool Management School. She is also a research affiliate in the Department of Geography and Planning and the Planning Research Institute at the University of Liverpool where she has previously held a postdoc position. Before joining the University of Liverpool, Chi was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Economics at the University of Southampton, and she has awarded a ESRC postdoctoral research fellowship grant for her project “Long memory and nonlinearity in macroeconomic and financial time series”.
Chi's research focuses on time series analysis and applied econometrics. She has worked on a wide variety of research projects, from financial management and housing economics to planning policies. She has also completed important policy work, including the development of infrastructure levy for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the housing need assessment for English local authorities. In all her work, Chi aims to apply her research to make a positive impact in economics and planning.
