Professor Piotr Krysta becomes NeST Director of Outreach activities
Professor Piotr Krysta has assumed the position of Director of Outreach activities for NeST. Professor Krysta has also been a Member of the NeST Council since its beginning.
The new role involves helping to expand NeST activities outside the EEE/CS School, by engaging with other departments in a focused and designed way.
Professor Krysta is a member of the Algorithms, Complexity Theory and Optimisation, and the Economics and Computation reserach groups in the department of Computer Science. His research interests include the design and analysis of algorithms with an emphasis on:
- Approximation algorithms
- Combinatorial optimization
- Randomized algorithms
- Algorithmic game theory
- Mechanism design
- Graph theory
- Computational complexity (NP-completeness, Non-approximability)
