    Teaching

    University role.

    I am director of the Wellcome Clinical PhD fellowship programme in Global Health

    I am a module lead for the MSc Clinical Science (Genomic Sciences) awarded by the University of Manchester. This programme is only open to trainees on the Scientist Training Programme (STP), who are recruited through the National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS). I lead the module on application of genomics to infectious disease.

    I supervise seven PhD's at the present time.

    I supervise undergraduate and MRes projects and teach on these courses.

    I act as an examiner for the MPH course run by the Malawi College of Medicine.

    Clinical training and teaching

    I am an educational supervisor to specialist trainees in Infection and an academic supervisor to NIHR academic clinical fellows and clinical lecturers.

    I supervise Academic clinical Lecturers, three at the present time and Academic Clinical Fellows and Academic Foundation Year doctors.
