    Research Interest 1

I am interested in the molecular epidemiology of virus infections, virus evolution and mechanisms involved in generating the diversity of virus types found in the human population. I am interested in the study burden of disease from a syndromic point of view and on the application of molecular detection and pathogen characteriation for surveillance and the study of transmission of viruses.
