    Teaching

I make a substantial contribution to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with over 350 hours contact time per year. I support learning on the BVSc, Bioveterinary Science and MSc Veterinary Science courses. I enjoy delivering research-led teaching in my area of expertise; helminth biology and epidemiology, control of helminth infection by anthelmintics and anthelmintic resistance. I find supervision of the BVSc project component to be particularly rewarding as students engage with an area of interest in an in depth and critical way. With my strong background in molecular biology I enjoy the challenge of communicating key skills in sequencing and bioinformatics to students on the MSc Veterinary Parasitology pathway.
