What we do
We seek to understand the biology of food-borne and endemic bacterial infections in major livestock hosts and their production environment and apply this understanding towards control.
How we do this
Through holistic interdisciplinary approaches that encompass microbiology, epidemiology, genomics, immunology, animal welfare and mathematical modelling.
Who we work with
We work with other universities (Cambridge, Newcastle, Leicester), the Scottish Agricultural Colleges, government and government agencies (FSA, DEFRA, DfID), Industry and Industry bodies.
Where we work
We work nationally, with EU partners, and globally in Asia (Thailand, Vietnam) and Africa (Ethiopia).
