Postdoctoral Research Associate Musculoskeletal Biology I

    Personal Statement

After being awarded with a first class degree in Microbiology from the University of Liverpool, I obtained a PhD in Biomolecular Sciences from The University of Manchester. I then started working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Musculoskeletal Biology at the University of Liverpool's Leahurst campus in 2009. At first, I investigated palmar/plantar osteochondral disease in the Thoroughbred racehorse and then moved into the area of investigating osteoarthritis and mechanisms that control post-transcriptional gene regulation in human cartilage in attempt to provide novel therapeutics and tissue regeneration strategies.
