The Diana (Captain Dawson from Miramichi[New Brunswick] to Chester; full-rigged ship, 262 tons, built Quebec 1802) got on shore in the Dee (near Hilbre Island) on 8th August 1821. She was subsequently got off and taken to the anchorage at Dawpool, with loss of her false keel, rudder damaged, and rather leaky.
