(i)Connah's Quay: April 17 [1914]

The steamer Alexandria failed to float on this morning's tide. It is now necessary to lighten, otherwise she may wash[sic] and sustain damage.

The Liverpool Salvage Association's officer reports that the steamer Alexandria is lying in the channel just outside of Mostyn, on bank, athwart the tide, heading SE, 7 feet of water alongside at low water, hull pretty level but the ship is straining. Will require to discharge 2,000 tons, and may possibly float on Monday evening.

(ii) Connah's Quay: April 20 [1914]

The steamer Alexandria got off yesterday morning after lightening. Now completing the discharge afloat.

So it appears that the steamer was not wrecked in the Dee (although she appears in the BOT wreck return), however, the damage must have been significant, since she was broken up at Garston June 1914.
