Cubbin's Green (Wirral Way): Fungi

Cubbin's Green and the area of the Wirral Way adjacent to it has several different types of land: sea-facing cliff; grassland on cliff top; shrubs; woods; hedgerows.

I am not an expert on fungi - but I have been a forager of edible mushrooms since I was a small boy during rationing. I am familiar with field mushrooms, puffballs, parasols, chanterelles, boletus and ink caps. Apparently one of the first words I spoke was "bleetus" - a childish version of boletus.
