MARLIN had a basic GPS which was sometimes unreliable. The (magnetic) compass was not accurately aligned either. So navigation relied on chart and looking at the coast-line.
25 May: from Appledore via Lundy to Neyland marina (in Milford Haven). Fuel at Neyland.
18 June: From Neyland via Jack Sound and Ramsey Sound to Aberystwyth marina (take on fuel).
21 June: From Aberystwyth to Pwllheli marina
22 June: From Pwllheli via Bardsey Sound to Caernarfon marina.
23 June: From Caernarfon, fuel at Port Dinorwic, wait for tide at Menai Bridge, then to Liverpool marina.
