Arriving at the University

Whether you arrive on time for the start of your programme, or due to visa and or flight issues, you have agreed a slightly later start date with your department, there’s lots of things you need to do as a new student once you arrive in Liverpool.

You can find a lot of invaluable information about the practical things you need to do as a new student, and advice and tips about how you can get involved in lots of activities and settle into student life quickly and smoothly in your first few days and weeks here.

As an international student, it is important that you complete your police registration and collect your BRP card after your arrival. Due to quarantine restrictions, you will not be required to register with the police until after your isolation period has ended, but you should contact your local police force to explain the situation and to make an appointment for when your quarantine period has ended. You can find further guidance on police registration here, and BRP collection here.

We have introduced a number of measures on campus to ensure your safety and the safety of our community. You can find out more in our COVID -19 Safety on Campus video below, and via our COVID Safety Hub.
