The campus at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University has expanded rapidly over the past few years, with 17 academic departments, three teaching centres, and excellent support and resource facilities housed on both north and south campus.

The north campus Central Library and Information Centre, state-of-the-art teaching, laboratory, research, support facilities and can accommodate 10,000 students.

Students also have access to the facilities in the Higher Education Town, which is shared with a large community of international students. These facilities include the Dushu Lake Sport Centre (with gym, rock climbing and swimming pool), a cinema, and bowling alley. There are also a number of shops and restaurants within the area. 

Future expansion

Looking ahead, construction of the XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) campus development is already underway. The Taicang campus covers a total area of approximately 364,000 square metres and a built up area of approximately 470,000 square metres. Upon completion of this exciting development in 2021, a new educational model that will lead future international education will emerge in Taicang.

Six industry schools of XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) have been launched and approved by the Ministry of Education of China and the University of Liverpool. Each school will offer its own programme including Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Intelligent Robotics Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering, Supply Chain Innovation and Application, and Arts, Technology and Entertainment.
