To help you achieve your ambitions, we have a wide range of services to support you throughout your studies.

At University of Liverpool, we give you all the extra support you need to make sure your stay here is a happy and successful one; and enable you to excel on the next stage of your educational journey.

International Advice and Guidance

International Advice and Guidance (IAG) are a specialist team dedicated to supporting all international students at the University. IAG appreciate that 2+2 students have a unique pathway into the University of Liverpool, and have a deep understanding of the academic, cultural and language challenges that you may face and they have the relevant skills to support you.

Student Services

Student Services, including; Counselling and Mental Health Advisory Service; Disability Advice and Guidance; and Student Welfare Advice & Guidance, will provide you with support throughout your studies. They offer confidential services and advice covering a range of issues that may affect your general wellbeing. Academic advisers are also available to support you through every stage of your studies, including applying for postgraduate study at the University of Liverpool or elsewhere.

Libraries 

The University of Liverpool libraries are loved by students and staff. During term time they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can study as much as you need. You can book an induction tour when you arrive to find out how to make the most of these fantastic resources.

English Language Centre 

As an XJTLU student you will be able to access a free comprehensive programme of English language support, if you want it, to help perfect your written and spoken English and achieve top marks in your University of Liverpool programme.

On-campus accommodation 

Liverpool is a great place to live. If you want to secure accommodation on-campus, then you can apply now – even before you have submitted your 2+2 application. Get further information on how to apply from this website.

Sports Centre 

Our state-of-the-art sports centre has a 25m swimming pool, a fitness suite, squash courts and a climbing wall. There are fitness classes every day for all skill levels, and it is a great place to meet new friends and keep active. 

Health services 

On campus, you can access a free health centre, and a counselling service which supports students with personal and emotional problems affecting their health and wellbeing. We also have a Disability Advice and Guidance team who work closely with students to arrange support to make sure people with a disability succeed and reach their full potential. 

Guild of Students 

Run by students for students, the Guild is one of the biggest and most active student unions in the UK (was voted the best in the country in 2016). Membership is free, and there are hundreds of student societies, activities and social events throughout the year.

Studying here has been amazing. I knew it would be a challenge because of the language barrier and cultural differences, but I never expected to receive so much support from tutors which helped me settle in quickly. With the help of our tutors and home students my language and academic skills have been improved.
