The University of Liverpool is looking to appoint a Vice-Dean (Postgraduate, International and Intercalation Pathways) to support strategic leadership and management within the School of Medicine. The appointee will work in partnership with other Vice-Deans and support the Dean in the overall development and management of the School, advising on opportunities and risks, across the postgraduate and international portfolio. Key priorities will include growing the international partnerships and activities of the School, and working with colleagues across the institution to enhance our own intercalation programmes and opportunities.
The School of Medicine in the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences has recently undergone a £7million investment programme to support the delivery of a first-class student experience. A pioneering and exciting place to learn, equipping graduates with the knowledge, skills, and values essential for a confident medical career in a 21st-century healthcare environment. Home to over 250 clinicians, academic, and professional services staff, the School is one of the largest medical education providers in the UK.
Applications are invited from clinicians and clinical academics with a track record of senior leadership in a university setting and a demonstrable track record in strategic and operational management and planning in higher education. A proven track record in research, including in a field of education is essential along with experience in curriculum and assessment development and evaluation.
