Synoptic Exams - COVID-19

Published on

The University has now officially suspended all non-core activity and as such we will no longer be able to run the up and coming RCVS synoptic examinations as planned the weeks commencing 23rd March (Small animal) and 30th March (Equine). This includes recent attempts to schedule online exams for those coming from overseas.

We appreciate that this will cause considerable disappointment and distress but given the likely disruption that we are facing throughout the UK in the short to medium term this is currently the best and only course of action available.

We are aware that candidates will have been working hard in preparation for these examinations. On this basis we are aiming to reschedule the examinations and we are provisionally looking at dates later in the year. Examination bookings will be automatically transferred subject to examiner/ candidate availability. A full refund is however available on request for any candidates wishing to withdraw from the rescheduled examinations.

Given the current unprecedented global events, we hope that you will understand the need for this unfortunate cancellation. We will keep you updated with respect to new examination dates over the coming weeks. Please do not hesitate to contact the office (VPUOffice@liverpool.ac.uk) should you have any concerns or questions regarding this.
