Synoptic Exam - How to enrol
Upon successful completion of all six CertAVP modules, those candidates who are working towards a designated certificate must also pass a Synoptic Examination.
The University of Liverpool provides the Synoptic Examination as a separate examination on behalf of the RCVS. Candidates who have successfully completed at least 50% of their CertAVP modules with the University, are eligible to sit their exam at the University.
Please be aware that the Synoptic Examination is not an examination of module content; rather, it is an all-encompassing examination on the subject of your chosen designation, wherein candidates present themselves to be examined as an Advanced Practitioner in the subject.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the scope and content of your chosen designation, and that you are adequately prepared for the examination. We are unable to provide access to lectures, notes or other module content for modules that you are not currently studying with us.
Delegates who attain designated certificates are eligible to apply for Advanced Practitioner Status with the RCVS. Further information can be found here.
