I always enjoyed horses as a child I was in the pony club gaining my pony club H test. On leaving school I completed a 2yr youth training scheme at a riding school and qualified as a riding instructor (BHS AI). I then went away to agricultural college and came way with an Advanced Diploma in Equine and Business Studies. I moved back home and was head girl at a small riding school for 7 yrs. During this time I competed in affiliated working hunter classes, it was on the show circuit I met my partner Steven a farrier from the Wirral. I relocated to the Wirral and started here as an Equine Technician soon after, then the opportunity came up and I trained as a MRI technician too . Steven and I now have 3 young girls, Steve's retired mare, my Connemara pony and a pony the girls share.
My role as team leader is ordering supplies, the smooth day to day running of the yard and ensuring the yards are maintained to a high standard . Organising the yard team so we can support the students and vets in delivering high quality inpatient care .I enjoy my role and feel proud to be part of the team here at the equine hospital .
