Develop skills by volunteering
Before coming to university, I assumed my degree alone would lead to me into a field of work that I liked, but I underestimated the challenge and competitiveness of getting a job. I knew I needed to add additional skills to my CV such as part time work, so over the last few years whilst studying I have worked both part time and volunteered in a related field to my career choice.
