Research Support Fees, also known as 'bench fees', cover the cost of consumable materials used in your study. Some programmes charge these fees on top of normal tuition fees. Research Support Fees are the same for UK, EU and International students. When you agree your MPhil or PhD project with your department, they will tell you which research support fees, if any, you will be expected to pay.
