This module offers a deep understanding of the major drivers of the internationalisation of business activities. The module will equip students with the ability to analyse the strategic implications of internationalisation for organisations and assess how to manage international business activities effectively. By applying all the main theories and the latest research evidence on major issues of international business management, this module will discuss the role of businesses in the global economy and the complex contextual features of the macro-economic environment that inform organisational decision-making. This module will also explore how businesses can successfully grow their international operations in a sustainable and ethical manner and work collaboratively to address global challenges. As such, it will enable students to develop their managerial and decision-making skills for leading different types of organisation, including multicultural and geographically dispersed global companies.
