NMR Metabolomics Workshop
When: Friday 3rd November 2017: 9.30am - 4.30pm
Where: Life Sciences Building, University of Liverpool campus.
The NMR Metabolomics facility will host a one day workshop introducing researchers to the techniques employed for carrying out a metabolomics study. It will cover the basic steps involved for conducting metabolomics studies; from study design and sample collection to statistcal analysis, pathway elucidation and data deposition, including an update on the latests tools for analysis developed here at the University of Liverpool.
The preliminary programme is as follows:
09:15 - 09:30: Registration
09:30 - 09:50: Study design
09:50 - 10:10: Sample collection and extraction procedures
10:10 - 10:30: NMR sample preparation/automation
10:30 - 11:00: Coffee and networking
11:00 - 11:20: Quality Control and Handling NMR data
11:20 - 12:00: Bucketing/Binning NMR data
12:00 - 12:45: Lunch and networking
12:45 - 13:30: Complementary Techniques
13:30 - 14:10: Metabolite annotation and identification
14:10 - 14:30: Data deposition to EBI Metabolights Repository
14:30 - 15:00: Coffee and networking
15:00 - 16:00: Common Statistical tools for metabolomics analysis
16:00 - 16:30: Considerations for pathway analysis
This annual workshop is an ideal opportunity to familiarise you and your research team with protocols and practices in metabolomics employed here in Liverpool and as such it is recommended that students undertaking metabolomics analysis attend.
If you would like to attend this free workshop, please contact Julie Boileau who will register your interest.
