Upon graduating with a BSc(HONS) Biology degree I started working in industry as a microbiologist, at Intertek. I gained experience working with many microbiota, and was promoted to senior microbiologist. I joined the University of Liverpool in 2012, where I started working at the Centre for Antimicrobial Pharmacodynamics. I have recently become Senior research assistant and run our new hollow fibre lab. We are a world leading research group focussing on novel antimicrobial agents, optimising 'old' drugs to combat resistance and combination studies of old and new drugs. The hollow fibre infection model allows us to look at PKPD relationships based on humanised PK profiles.
