In 2012/13 the University of Liverpool is expected to consume over 68 million kWh of electricity and over 118 million kWh of natural gas, at a cost of over £13.5m.  With planned campus developments and increasing fuel prices this cost is expected to increase to nearly £15m by 2014/15. This is a level we are determined to reduce through behaviour change, efficiency and the use of low carbon technology and renewables.

This section provides you with information on how electricity and heat is supplied, the impacts associated its generation and consumption, how these impacts can be managed, what the University is doing to manage its own energy use as well as helpful facts and tips to reduce your own energy consumption at work.
