Student Life Saturday

It’s hard to get a feel for what being a student is like right now. On Saturday 12 June, Student life Saturday aims to help you get to know the University of Liverpool better.

We are launching our undergraduate virtual open week with interviews and short talks to help you get a sense of what living and socialising at the University of Liverpool is really like. We’ll be live online and taking your questions so you can chat to people from careers and employability, our Guild of students, sports and societies and accommodation. And of course, we’ll have our own students ready to talk to you about life in the city.

You are free to join us for all or part of the day, if you’ve already booked on to a session you can add this event via your booking page, or complete our open week sign up.

So you know what to expect and when, here’s what we have planned for Saturday 12 June:




Introduction - Welcome to our Virtual Open Week


Finance – get to understand what finance and support you can access. Find out about budgeting and ask us your questions on funding your university experience


Careers – Hear from our careers coaches and employability staff on how we support your success during your studies and after graduation


Academic support – Our libraries teams are more than just bookworms, find out about all our academic support services you can access when studying with us

12:15 Study Abroad – From 6 weeks summer break to a full year in a new country there is a wealth of options to choose from. Find out more about this fantastic life experience
12:45 Student support and welfare – It’s important to make the most of your time at university. Our staff will give you insight in how we support your wellbeing and highlight our services
13:00 Student life and campus tour – Meet our current students and hear firsthand about their time at the University of Liverpool first hand. Then join us as we go for a whistle stop tour of campus (fingers crossed for good weather)
14:00 The Guild of Students – at the heart of our university we have the Guild. The student voice of Liverpool representing the issues that matter most to you. From clubs and socieities to coffee shops and amazing burritos, the Guild is your home on campus.
14:15 Sport – From a casual game with friends, or a gym session to national competitions you can find your fit with Sport at Liverpool. Our staff and students will give you an overview of what is on offer
14:30 Accommodation – Discover our range of on and off campus accommodation and all the support on offer as you begin life in Liverpool.
15:00 Parents and Supporters session – Coming to university is a big move for everyone and we want your parents and supports to be as happy as you are. This session will cover some of the essentials and we’ll take as many questions as we can too.
