For applicants from England: Where a science has been taken at A level (Chemistry, Biology or Physics), a pass in the Science practical of each subject will be required.

International Baccalaureate33 points that must include 6 points each from Physics and Mathematics at Higher level.

Scottish Higher/Advanced HigherNot accepted without Advanced Highers in Mathematics and Physics.
Welsh Baccalaureate AdvancedAccepted at grade B, including Mathematics and Physics A Levels at AB or BA.

Access 45 Level 3 credits in graded units in a relevant Diploma,including 30 at Distinction and a further 15 with at least Merit.

15 Distinctions are required in each of Mathematics and Physics.

Extended Project QualificationApplicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade A in the EPQ, for example the offer would be ABB or BBB plus A in the EPQ.

General Studies

Most (see exceptions below) of our non-clinical programmes welcome General Studies as one of three A levels upon which we make an offer. However, applicants may offer only one of General Studies, Critical Thinking, Citizenship Studies among their three A levels.
