Q: I have been given a Clearing offer from Liverpool, how do I accept?
A: If we have made you a Clearing offer and you would like to accept this offer you will need to follow these steps by the deadline given in your offer email and letter:
Q: I have been told I need to “refer” myself to you, what does this mean?
A: If you would like to accept our Clearing offer, you must follow the steps above (see Q: I have been given a Clearing offer from Liverpool, how do I accept?). This process is also known as referring yourself.
Q: I received an email with a deadline for me to take up the Clearing offer. Is it possible to have an extension?
A: Email notify@liverpool.ac.uk, stating the reason you would like an extension, your UCAS personal ID number and the course you are holding an offer for. Please use the email subject line “Clearing offer extension”. We will then email you confirming whether we can extend the deadline or not.
Q: I have been given a Clearing offer from Liverpool and I wish to accept, however my firm choice institution has not/will not release me. What should I do?
A: You should continue to negotiate your release from your firm choice institution, as unfortunately you can’t accept your Clearing offer until this stage has been completed. Once you have been released please follow the steps above (see Q: I have been given a Clearing offer from Liverpool, how do I accept?).
If you don’t think you will be able to refer yourself to us by the deadline given in your offer email, you should request an extension (see Q: I received an email with a deadline for me to take up the Clearing offer. Is it possible to have an extension?).
Q: I have been given a Clearing offer from Liverpool, how do I decline?
A: Email notify@liverpool.ac.uk, stating the reason you wish to decline, your UCAS personal ID number and the course you are holding an offer for. Please use the email subject line “Clearing place decline”. We aim to process requests as quickly as possible once we receive your email.
If you have referred yourself to us using UCAS Track, please also see Q: I have referred myself through UCAS track, however I have changed my mind and now wish to be released. What should I do?
Q: I have referred myself through UCAS Track, however I have changed my mind and now wish to be released. What should I do?
A: Email notify@liverpool.ac.uk, including your UCAS personal ID number and the course applied for. Please use the email subject line “Release back into Clearing”.
Q:I have been accepted for one course, can I be considered for another?
A: This may be possible, however it will depend on if the entrance requirements for the requested course have been met and whether or not any places are available. Email notify@liverpool.ac.uk, including your UCAS personal ID and the course change required. Please use email subject line “Request for course change”.
Q: On the email I received my qualifications are listed incorrectly, what should I do?
A: Email notify@liverpool.ac.uk, giving full details of the qualification in question, your UCAS personal ID number and the course you are holding an offer for. Please use the email subject line “Clearing offer qualification amendment”.
Q: When will I receive induction/Welcome Week information?
A: Once we have processed your application and updated your offer to unconditional, you will receive an email containing induction and Welcome Week information within a few days. More about starting at Liverpool.
