A message from our Vice-Chancellor

A message from Professor Dame Janet Beer, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liverpool.

Dear Applicant,

I hope you are keeping well in these difficult times. As schools, colleges and universities are impacted by closures and cancellation of assessments you are no doubt thinking about how this affects your plans to come to university this September.

As an applicant to the University of Liverpool, I would first and foremost like to assure you that we are doing all we can to ensure that changes arising from the COVID-19 pandemic do not affect your opportunity to study here in the coming academic year.

For those of you in the UK, we are awaiting further guidance from the government about how and when qualifications will be awarded, so that we can make any necessary adjustments to our admissions processes and communicate these to you as soon as possible.

Although these extraordinary circumstances may have led to unexpected changes to your studies, please rest assured that we are here to support you and will keep you updated about how decisions are made regarding your future options so that you have every opportunity to join us in the autumn.

In the meantime I wish you well with your continued studies, whatever form this takes over the coming months.

I will update you further as soon as I can.

Best wishes,
Professor Dame Janet Beer
