Economics MSc
- Programme duration: Full-time: 12 months Part-time: 24 months
- Programme start: September 2023
- Entry requirements: A 2:1 Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in Economics or a related discipline with a quantitative focus. Students with a 2:1 degree from a quantitative Science discipline are also encouraged to apply.

Career prospects
Graduates will gain a sound theoretical grounding in the area of Economics and will have developed a range of analytical and personal skills. The aim of this programme is to enable students to pursue a research-oriented career in the financial industry, international organisations, central banks, academia and research institutions.

Workshops and seminars
We deliver a wide range of career-related workshops and seminars which provide you with the opportunity to develop employability skills and to prepare for the recruitment process. Sessions include Successful Networking, Creating a Winning CV and Preparing for Assessment Centres.
Careers Fairs
Organised and delivered by the central Careers & Employability Service, the annual career fairs provide you with the chance to meet over 70 recruiters. In addition to this, MSc students can attend virtual global careers fairs via our global talent platform Highered.
Master's Consultancy Challenge
Master's students at the Management School have the opportunity to take part in the ‘We can work it out’ master’s consultancy challenge. Students form several groups and are presented with consultancy problems from a number of organisations.
Companies that have participated in previous years include, PwC, Santander, BAE Systems, Decathlon, Mando and CFC Robotics. Some of these employers are small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
