The minimum English Language requirement for international students is IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Intercalating students are required to successfully complete their fourth year of study.
The programme accepts applications from self-funding UK and international students.
International qualifications
Applications from international students are welcome. International qualifications will be evaluated in line with the National Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) guidelines.
English language qualifications
All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language and are required to provide evidence of this. If you meet the academic requirements of the course but do not have the required level of English Language, it is possible for you to come and study at the University on one of our Pre-sessional EAP programmes. If you require additional English Language training during your study, the University is able to provide tuition and arrange IELTS tests through its English Language Centre, details of which are available at www.liverpool.ac.uk/english-language-centre.
Prospective candidates should also note that in addition to academic and English language qualifications, the Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound programme requires students to gain a practice placement in medical ultrasound. This cannot normally be provided by the University and must be arranged and evidenced by the student at the time of application. Any prospective international student must be eligible to work in a practice placement site approved by the Director of Studies. This practice placement must be established prior to formal application.

Please be advised that TOEFL is no longer classified by UK Visas and Immigration as a Secure English Language Test (SELT). However, at the current time the university is continuing to accept TOEFL, at the required level, for entry on to Undergraduate and Postgraduate academic programmes.
