Marketing MSc

Can you summarise your master's programme in a few sentences?

The Operations and Supply Chain Management MSc has given me the opportunity to link cutting-edge theory with industry. Because of this programme, I now have more insight into the field of operations and supply chain as well as developing my skills in managerial decision making.

What were your main reasons for choosing to undertake postgraduate study at the University of Liverpool Management School?

I mainly chose this programme due to the module content. I was working in industry before I came to study this master’s so I could see that the programme was up to date and would give me a better understanding and guidance for my future career. Another reason I decided to study here was the fact that the University of Liverpool is within the top universities worldwide.

What is the best thing about studying in your department?

I have been taught by great academic staff who are very knowledgeable and have published papers in their field. In addition, the Management School has all the facilities that I could possibly need during my studies.

How do the facilities at the University help you in your studies?

The fact that the libraries are open 24/7 makes my studying easier and I am able to decide when and where in the library to study according to my needs. Also, there are many study spaces in different buildings that I can also use to work in if, for example, I wanted to practice a group presentation.

What kind of support do you get from tutors?

The tutors are always easily available either by email or with face to face meetings. They have helped guide me on all aspects of being a student, from where to look for journals, how to manage my time, and even what websites to look at for graduate opportunities.

What do you enjoy most about the whole experience?

I really enjoy working with people from diverse cultures on this programme. It has allowed me to see things from a different perspective and learn how industry works in other countries. Also, the fact that I have been studying in a second language has made this journey challenging but very rewarding.
