The Rushworth Scholarships

The Rushworth Foundation is delighted to sponsor the Rushworth Scholarships for The Business of Classical Music MA. The Foundation supports music, the arts and education, especially in Liverpool and the north west and perpetuates the legacy and heritage of the well-known Rushworth family music business and its support for music and the arts for over a century. The business was set up by William Rushworth and operated in Liverpool from the mid 1840's until if finally closed in 2002. The business which spanned 5 generations of the Rushworth family manufactured pipe organs and was a major retailer of musical instruments.
