The Care Experienced Students’ Postgraduate Taught Bursary

The Care Experienced Students’ Postgraduate Taught Bursary scheme offers additional funds to support University of Liverpool undergraduates to continue their studies with us at postgraduate (PGT) level.  The Care Experienced Students’ Postgraduate Taught Bursary will be the value of £3,000 which will be deducted from your programme fees.

To be eligible for the award you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a ‘home’ (UK) undergraduate student or EU undergraduate student classified by the SLC as ‘home’ for student support purposes
  • Be beginning a new full-time or part-time postgraduate taught Master’s programme (including MRes programmes) in academic year 2019-20
  • Be an alumnus or alumna of the University of Liverpool having completed an undergraduate degree at the Liverpool campus in session 2018-19
  • Have been in receipt of the Care Leavers’ Opportunity Bursary during your undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool.

Students will not be eligible for the Care Experienced Students’ Postgraduate Taught Bursary in any year when they are receiving external sponsorship (e.g. payment of programme fees by a registered company or other external sponsor) of value equal to or greater than the value of the award.

Students in receipt of the Care Experienced Students’ Postgraduate Taught Bursary cannot concurrently hold a Postgraduate Progression Award.
