Study Abroad

Academic

The university offers one semester or full year Study Abroad opportunities. We offer a broad range of academic disciplines and you are free to specialise or to select modules in a number of departments. You should have a good academic record at your home university. We will be looking for a grade average of 70 per cent.

Undergraduate

Kotogakko Sotsugyo Shomeisho

Students who have followed the national curriculum, are advissed to complete the Foundation Certificate at Liverpool International College or an equivalent foundation programme.

A-levels, International Baccalaureate, SATs

Students offering A-levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 28 points or SATs can apply for direct entry to year one of undergraduate programmes. Students who can offer a good GPA after completing the first year of an undergraduate programme at a Japanese univeristy are also welcome to apply.

Postgraduate Taught

Holders of a Japanese University Degree (Gakushi) will need a GPA 3.0 from 4.0 or Grade B when a UK 2:1 classification Degree is required

Holders of a Japanese University Degree (Gakushi) will need a GPA 2.5 from 4.0 or Grade C when a UK 2:2 classification Degree is required

Postgraduate Research

Each application is assessed on its own merits, however students will usually be expected to hold both a Bachelors and a Masters (Shushi) degree. Previous exposure to research or thesis writing is highly desirable
