Entry requirements

Academic Requirements

Successful completion of examinations at standard X and XII (Higher Secondary School Certificate) with minimum marks of approximately 70 to 85%, according to the course and exam board.

All our programs are between the range of English A level grades of AAA – BBB. To see how Indian State board results and STD XII ISC/CBSE results are compared to English A level grades, for purposes of making an offer, please see the table below.

The percentage will be based on the aggregate of the best of 4 core subjects (including English).

Please note: Sometimes your offer will be made on condition of you achieving an overall score in your XII standard exams, while some programmes will ask for specific scores in certain subjects. As such, any subject-specific requirements will reflect the overall percentage required (eg. 85% in best four subjects, including 85% in Maths), along with the individual score for each subject.

Postgraduate Taught

Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with minimum first division (high second division from some universities).
Three-year Bachelor's degrees like BComs can be accepted, but sometimes the content covered in such degrees does not provide adequate grounding for our more specialised programmes such as MSc Finance.

Postgraduate Research

Students considering a research programme would normally be expected to undertake a Masters degree and achieve good results (1st class or 60%+) before progressing onto a research programme.

Pathway programmes

Unviersity of Liverpool International College offers Foundation and Pre-Master's courses to international students who don't meet the university's minimum entry requirements. Find out more on the college's website.
