Entry requirements: which qualifications do you need?
Pathway programmes for applicants from Azerbaijan
Many countries have a different education system to that of the UK, so you may need further preparation before you can start university here. Pathway programmes provide an entry route for international students whose qualifications do not meet our entry requirements.
After successfully completing your Foundation Certificate or pre-Master’s programme, you're guaranteed a place on your chosen course. Pathway programmes are offered through the University of Liverpool International College.
Students who have completed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate are advised to complete a Foundation Certificate at University of Liverpool International College.
Students who have completed an internationally-recognised qualification (e.g. UK A-levels or an International Baccalaureate) can apply for entry to the first year of an undergraduate programme.
The University of Liverpool will consider applications from students who have spent some time at university in Azerbaijan and who now want to transfer into the first year, or possibly second year, of an undergraduate study at Liverpool. It is not possible to enter directly into third (or any subsequent) year of undergraduate programmes.
Applicants for a Masters degree will generally require:
