Ambassador for Ecuador
I love that people in Liverpool are very friendly, everywhere I go I feel secure, people are so nice and you feel welcome. Liverpool is also a city that is surrounded by beauty. The Albert Dock is just the cherry on the cake, where you can see the best sunsets I have ever seen!
I really enjoy the quality of education here. Professors lead the field in their areas of study. Classes are very dynamic, with teaching methods that engage with the students. I also enjoy the diversity from the Professors to team mates, as diversity is key to broadening my vision and understanding more about the world we live in.
The University Campus and infrastructure are state-of-the-art and I love the green spaces, and how it mixes with the city. Studying at the University of Liverpool will also help me in my career because I understand more about UK culture and becoming a global citizen and creating networks from people of the University.
Jorge's top tips
- Arrange where are you going to live in Liverpool in advance. The easiest way is to live on campus in the accommodation the university provides.
- Plan how you are going to travel to Liverpool, there are different ways to arrive to Liverpool, make sure you explore the different options and your budget. The cheapest way is to arrive to London and then grab a train directly to Liverpool.
- Be sure you to get your BRP as soon as possible. BRP is extremely important in the UK and you will need it to open a bank account. Opening a bank account can take a long time. If you can advance that process before coming to UK it will be better for you and management of your budget.
- Take the journey as an adventure and enjoy the experience. Everything has a solution, and people here are very keen on helping. The best thing about the University of Liverpool is the culture
