International Vacancy Service

Our International Vacancy Service (also known as International Clearing) no longer has any course vacancies for 2018/19 entry.

We will make decisions on applications received via our online International Vacancy Service within a few days of receiving an application to ensure successful applicants can apply for a visa in time for the course start date in September.

International Clearing FAQs

Q. Can I apply if I have not applied to any universities through UCAS?
A. Yes you can apply.

Q. Can I apply if I have already had offers from other UK universities via UCAS?
A. Yes you can apply.

Q. Can I apply for Year 2 or Year 3 entry?
A. Unfortunately you can only apply for year 1 entry through international clearing.

Q. Can I apply if I do not have my results yet?
A. In order to make a decision, we will need your final academic result and English qualification. So please wait until you have all documents before you submit an application.

Q. I have made an application through UCAS to University of Liverpool. Can I apply for the same programme through International Clearing?
A. Unfortunately you cannot apply for the same programme through International Clearing. However you are allowed to apply to a different programme in the University of Liverpool.

Q. What documents shall I provide together with the online application form? How should I provide them?
A. We will need your passport, final academic result/final academic transcript, English qualification and GCSE Math or equivalent. All documents can be uploaded within the online application form.

Q. How soon can I expect to have the decision once my application is submitted?
A. We will make the decision within 3 to 5 working days once we receive all the required documents from the applicants.

Q. I am interested in [programme name] and I have [qualifications & grades], will I get an offer?
A. In order to formally assess if we could offer you a place, you will need to submit an application online and upload your documents.  Your application will then be assessed on the basis of these documents. We will aim to contact you with the outcome of your application within five working days.

Q. Who should I contact if I have any further questions?  And how?

Q. I could not find the programme I am interested in. Does it mean it is not available for clearing?
A. Yes. The programme list is updated on a daily basis. The programmes which are no longer in International Clearing will be removed from the list with immediate effect. Please note that all clinical programmes and programmes which require ATAS are not available through international clearing.

Q. I am under 18 years of age at the moment and will turn 18 in a few months’ time. Can I apply?
A. You can only apply if you are 18 years or over.

Vice Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship

All new international students starting full-time, non-clinical undergraduate programmes in September 2018 who achieve AAB in their A levels or equivalent qualification or 35 points in the International Baccalaureate will receive a £2,000 fee reduction for their first year of study.

New international students on non-clinical programmes achieving A*AA in UK A level exams or 36 points and above in the International Baccalaureate will receive a £2,500 fee reduction for their first year of study.
