Meet the team
I am responsible for the strategic direction of Study Abroad at Liverpool and overseeing the work of the team. Originally from the Wirral, I studied for a BA (Hons) in German with Portuguese Minor at the University of Leeds which saw me spend a year in Austria and a semester in Portugal. Following my undergraduate studies I completed an MA in Contemporary European Studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin. After working as an International Officer for Leeds Council I returned to my home turf to lead Study Abroad activities at the University of Liverpool. Outside of Study Abroad, I enjoy spending time with my young family.
I am responsible for the operational management of Study Abroad at Liverpool, new programme development and overseeing the delivery of key projects. Originally from northwest London, I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA (Hons) Combined Honours in Portuguese & Psychology, which included spending a year studying at PUC-Rio in Brazil. I’m a bit of a linguaphile & love to read about how languages work - I speak fluent Portuguese and Spanish (and have been trying to learn Dutch for many years!).
I am responsible for partnership development to support growth in the number and range of opportunities for students studying abroad. I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA (Hons) Combined Honours in Hispanic Studies and Molecular Biology which included spending a year studying Biology in Spain at the University of Salamanca. My interest in international relations and collaboration then led me to complete an MSc in Sustainable Development. I speak French and Spanish and am currently learning Catalan and Mandarin.
I am responsible for the University’s Inbound Study Abroad programme, ensuring our students and partners have the best experience with us. I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (MA French and Spanish) and fell in love with Study Abroad after my own life changing experiences in France and Argentina. After working and travelling across Europe, Central America and Southeast Asia I live in my home town of Liverpool – and love to show newcomers around this amazing city!
I am a responsible for the administration and pastoral support for Inbound study abroad students. To further understand this incredible world we live in, I am currently studying part time for a Bachelor degree in International Studies with the Open University. In the Summer of 2015 I participated in a Summer school learning Mandarin at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. I also spent part of my childhood in Western Australia and am a dual citizen of the UK and Australia. As a native Liverpudlian I can make a mean pan of scouse (stew) and love welcoming people to my wonderful city!
I am responsible for the management of all Outbound Study Abroad programmes, making sure that we are offering Liverpool students a high level of support and helping them to make the most out of their exchange experience. I studied European Studies and Modern Languages at the University of Bath which included a year abroad teaching English in France and studying History of Art in Italy and previously worked in international education at the University of Bristol. On my travels I tried as much of the local cuisine as possible and now I love recreating recipes in my kitchen!
I am responsible for the coordination of our outbound study abroad programmes. I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2015 with a BSc in Events Management and Tourism. While at University I worked at a summer camp in Maryland, USA, and had the opportunity to visit many other states on the east coast. After graduating I worked in Disney World Florida which was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back! I love maps, airports, airplanes and pretty much anything to do with travel!
I am responsible for responding to general Study Abroad enquiries and helping with administration across the Study Abroad Team, working with both inbound and outbound students. I studied BA (Hons) Sociology at the University of Liverpool where during my second year I spent a semester at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. Being from Liverpool, I really wanted to be bold and study somewhere far from home! It was an amazing experience and I'm excited to now be helping students take part in this life-changing opportunity. Outside of Study Abroad, I love a bit of arts and crafts, one of my latest creations was a mini-suitcase made out of a matchbox with a world map inside!
