General evacuation plans

To enable safe escape from buildings in an emergency, details of the arrangements and resources in our campus buildings are available. View general emergency evacuation plans for buildings.

If a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is required, contact your Department to ensure a plan is agreed at the earliest opportunity.

Bringing assistance dogs onto campus

If you wish to bring an assistance dog onto campus, on the grounds of health and safety responsibilities to staff, students and visitors, the University will require evidence that a dog is formally registered with one of the assistance dog charities (e.g. hearing dogs for deaf people, guide dogs for the blind) including appropriate accreditation.

Further information can be found in the Policy Regarding Reasonable Adjustments and Support for Disabled Students 2022.

Blue badge parking

If you have a blue badge, you will be able to park in one of the staff car parks on campus without charge. You will need to register your details and provide a photocopy of your blue badge to the vehicle parking office.
