LURLFC boasts one team, one coach, training and playing facilities of a high standard and a great, friendly club atmosphere. The club caters for all levels of ability ranging from experienced rugby league players and rugby union converts all the way to beginners, so we welcome a wide range of students into the club.
Competitive
The 1st team currently competes in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) Premier division, coming off the back of gaining promotion two years in a row, both times as league winners. This team is a very competitive outfit that focuses on achieving great results.
Training times
Training takes place at Wyncote Sports Ground with fixtures taking place on a Wednesday.
Monday - 5.30 - 7.30pm
Tuesday - 8.30 - 9.30pm
Social events
We have weekly socials, monthly Athletic Union nights including fancy dress, occasional joint-socials with other AU Societies including the Women’s Rugby League club and many others, not to mention special events throughout the year (Super league grand final, Christmas party and many more).

The Athletic Union
The Athletic Union (AU) is a student lead union founded in 1884. The AU consists of competitive sports clubs representing the University in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). The AU also provides opportunities for social sports with over 132 teams across three sports.
Being an AU member is a great way to stay active, develop management and leadership skills and meet people.

The initial cost of the AU membership is £60 and this will allow you to join one club. If you wish to join multiple clubs, the cost for each club is £24 thereafter.
