Ever wanted to be part of a fast-paced, unpredictable, non-contact sport suitable for players of all abilities? Why not try Ultimate Frisbee!
What is Ultimate?
Played both indoors (5v5) and outdoors (7v7), Ultimate is a team game with the aim of catching the disc in the opposing end zone without it being intercepted or dropped. When you are in possession of the disc you must remain stationary therefore the disc must be passed between members of your team, progressing to the end zone to score a point. The team with the most points at the end of the time limit wins.

Come along to our specially designed beginner sessions. These sessions will help you to learn all of the throws and rules in a friendly, non-pressured environment. At these sessions there will be a vast support network from our experienced players, who will guide you with their knowledge to help you improve and grow within the club.
Those with a little more experience will have the opportunity to come along to our 1st Team training sessions where the team develops their technique while learning strategies and plays which will stand us in good stead when we play in regional and national tournaments.
We play in a number of tournaments throughout the year, from tournaments especially for beginners, to Regional and National competitions. Beginners will have plenty of opportunities to get involved in tournaments and league games throughout the year. You will gain experience and progress through the ranks, playing all over the country, representing your University at the highest level. There is also plenty of opportunity to play games at training sessions and during mini tournaments held within the club throughout the year.
Along with the fitness that will come from playing and training regularly, we also hold optional fitness sessions for members to boost their own fitness. These non-competitive sessions are aimed for self-improvement and are an easy way to boost your game time at competitions.
We pride ourselves on being a very welcoming club and we know you’ll have no worries about making new friends and getting to know your new teammates. There are a variety of social events throughout the year, all aimed at bringing the team closer as well as letting your hair down. We host a wide variety of events from themed parties and seasonal formal events to games nights and trips to local events.
We never hold trials but select teams in the run up to each tournament and try to get everyone playing as much as possible.
Whether you have never thrown a Frisbee before or have been playing for years, come along to our regular training sessions and bring a friend as well.
