Handball is an exhilarating and high intensity 7-a-side team sport, where physical contact and goals are part of its nature.

The Liverpool University Handball Club was founded in March 2011 and we started up with training in September 2011.

We have both women’s and men’s teams, and train twice a week! Handball isn't a part of BUCS yet, but we play in leagues arranged outside of the University (usually once a month) and we also participate in handball tournaments.

As handball is a fairly new sport in England, we have people from all over the world;  beginners or more experienced players are welcomed as well. We try to bring everybody to the same level through more intense training. We showed potential in the last few years by winning our first ever Varsity and finishing as one of the top teams in our league in the University Championship so it is clear that handball is here to stay at the University of Liverpool!

Being part of our Handball team you will (re)learn the value of team spirit and hence the creation of friendships for life as it is imperative to nourish a strong bond between members! You will find our contact details on this page if you are interested in joining our club!
